West University Place, TX – September 3, 2022 – The Friends of West University Parks
Fund is honored to announce the most recent addition to their Board of Directors, Jordan
Jewett.
Jewett was appointed to the Friends Board on August 22nd at the city council meeting
after her dedicated service to the 2022 Park Lover’s Ball. She is currently Co-Chairing the
Auction for the 2023 Park Lover’s Ball (a recurring role) to be held on February 11 at the
Four Seasons Houston and will be Chairing the fundraiser in 2024.
A native Houstonian, Jordan met her husband, Andrew Sr., at Lamar High School.
Together, they have Molly (5) in Kindergarten at West U Elementary and Andrew Jr. (2)
who will begin preschool at West U Methodist this fall. Molly can regularly be spotted
trying to beat her personal time on the Colonial Park challenge course, while Andrew Jr.
is often enjoying Huffington Park’s “fast, fast, fast slides”.
Jordan Jewett is a Clinical Sales Specialist for Quest Diagnostics focusing on disease
prevention and functional medicine. Active in all arenas of her community and children’s
lives, Jewett is also chairing the annual Boo Bash at West U Elementary School this
October. Her husband, Andrew Sr., is a Senior Vice President at CBRE.
As a family, they love to be outdoors…at a beach, pool, or park (preferably in our
community that they have come to cherish since moving here in 2019).
When Jordan was asked why she volunteers so much of her time to support Friends of
West U Parks, the answer was simple…”as Dr. Seuss would say, ‘Unless someone like
you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.’”
Many thanks to Jordan Jewett for her loyal service to the Friends of West U Parks!
