FATHERS & FLASHLIGHTS - October 23-24, 2010 Get ready Campers!  Courtney and Scott Archer and Anne and John Freeman are busy working on making the fourth annual Fathers & Flashlights event EVEN BETTER ! ! !

The annual urban campout on the fields surrounding West University Elementary School will take place on October 23 and 24.  Priority registration for returning campers will begin on August 17, 2010 with new camper  registration beginning on August 24.  The event raised $37,000 net for West U parks in 2009 and the goal is to exceed that amount this year.  This was a sold out event with a waiting list in 2009.  For more detailed information, please click here.   Please email us with any questions or to be a sponsor or underwriter at FathersAndFlashlights@westuparks.org. 

                    
Kara Samples, Daryl Hoover, and Jennifer Gatto co-chaired the 19th annual Park Lovers’ Crystal Ball on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the downtown historic Rice Hotel Crystal Ballroom. Disco Expressions provided great dance music and the evening was full of fun and games including mimes and flashing rings. The sold out event raised approximately $165,000 for West U parks. On May 10th, Mayor Bob Kelly presented Jennifer, Daryl, and Kara each with a Star Citizen Award in recognition of their tremendous efforts in raising much needed funds for West U parks.  Questions?  Please call 713-662-7430 or email dlamond@westu.org.
